Having sensitive teeth is no fun. Indulging in a frozen or sweet treat can bring on the zing! I’ve had my fair share of dental problems over the years. Thankfully my teeth aren’t extremely sensitive all over just in certain areas. My husband also suffers from localized sensitivity. When Walmart approached me as a part of the Walmart Moms to try out a new product called Crest Sensi-Stop Strips I was intrigued. Finally there is a product on the market specifically designed to stop sensitivity in its tracks and provide relief for up to 1 month.
Crest Sensi is now available in Walmart Stores with a variety of package counts to choose from: 6 count ($17.96), 10 count ($24.96), and 12 count ($27.96) packages. These small strips when applied to sensitive areas on the teeth for 10 mins can provide up to 1 month of protection against sensitivity to cold, heat, acids, and sweets. I’ve found that I feel the most sensitivity on one of my teeth particularly after eating something sweet. So I liked that this product was small enough to deliver protection for just one tooth. If you have sensitivity on multiple teeth, several strips may be used on other teeth as well in order to treat at the same time.
Using this product is very simple. Each strip is individually wrapped. Simply remove from the package and place the Crest Sensi-Stop Strip in the area of sensitivity and leave on for 10 mins. After treatment, it is advised not to brush, eat, or rinse for at least 30 mins. For years my husband and I have used sensitive toothpaste so it is good to see that there is another option to add to our dental care routine that will help us to fight back against tooth sensitivity.
For those with tooth sensitivity, there is finally another option out there. Overall, I think this product is great for localized sensitivity and is very easy to use. For all over sensitivity or for sensitivity on more than a few teeth at a time I don’t think this product would work as well with out several treatment sessions as it would probably be best just to visit a dentist.
