With the holidays starting next week, that means that many of us will be scrambling around trying to make our home clean and inviting for guests. Every year, my family and I go through a cleaning phase where we clean the house from top to bottom in preparation for the holidays. This year is no exception. It feels good to deep clean the house and get rid of the unwanted clutter around our home.
When it comes to cleaning supplies, they can get a bit out of control, can’t they? When shopping I like to have a small stockpile of the products that I know my family uses a lot of. But when it comes to keeping extra bottles of household cleaner and finding room to store them, it can be a bit difficult. As a part of the Walmart Moms, I was recently introduced to an exclusive to Walmart line of concentrated household cleaners called CleanPath.
CleanPath was started by a father, Jason Foster, that eliminates the waste of disposable bottles. Most cleaning products are made up of 10% ingredients and 90% water. Jason came up with a reusable bottle and refill pod system that has changed the way that I look at cleaning products.
Currently there are 5 products available in the CleanPath line at Walmart: Multi-Surface Cleaner, Bathroom Cleaner, Glass Cleaner, Foaming Hand Soap and Foaming Hand Sanitizer. Each starter bottle is just $3.58 with refill pods available for $2.28 (that’s less than $1 per bottle). Each refill pod makes 3 full sized bottles of cleaner with the only waste being the refill pod after the 3rd complete bottle is finished.
Mixing the CleanPath cleaning solution and water in order to use the product is extremely easy. With the starter bottle first you will unscrew the refill pod from the bottom and remove the foil seal. Once removed, screw the refill pod back onto the bottom of the reusable bottle. Flip the entire bottle upside down and gently squeeze the refill pod until the cleaning concentrate is dispensed into the measuring cup built inside of the bottle. Once the appropriate measure of cleaner concentrate is squeezed into the bottle. Flip the entire bottle right side up and fill the remaining empty space with water to the appropriate fill line. Now you are ready to start cleaning! When you run out of product, all one has to do is repeat the process again to make a second bottle. No running out to the store at the last minute because you ran out of cleaning solution in the middle of a deep clean.
As I mentioned before each refill pod is the equivalent of 3 full sized bottles of product. These small refill pods cut down on my need to stock pile multiple bottles of one product just to have an extra on hand. When my 3 bottles are complete, all I need to buy after that is a refill pod to continue reusing the starter bottle over and over. CleanPath is only available at Walmart. I think this new product is kind of awesome. The next time you walk down the cleaner aisle at Walmart be on the lookout for CleanPath.
