Happy Veteran’s Day! Chances are that many of us know of at least one Veteran in our life whether it be a family member or a friend. Veteran’s have made tremendous sacrifices for our country and active duty military members continue to do the same each and every day. We owe our freedom to these men and woman that have served our country but how do we show our support and appreciation for the sacrifices that they have made?

Green Light a Vet is a program supported by Walmart. By replacing one regular light bulb with a green one in your home or office in a visible way you can show your support and appreciation for our veterans not just on Veteran’s Day but everyday. Once you have changed a light, share a photo of it on your favorite social media channel with the hashtag #greenlightavet.

Greenlight A Vet is a campaign to establish visible national support for our veterans by changing one light to green.

I think that it is important that we thank our veterans for the sacrifices that they have made for our freedom.

Changing one light in the front of our home where it can easily be viewed is just one simple way to show our appreciation for our Veterans every single day.

Why a Green Light?

Green is a color that represents hope, renewal, and well-being. The term “Greenlight” indicates a forward movement. A greenlight at the front of your house or in your office is a great conversation starter and a symbol of appreciation for our veterans.
