Valentine’s day is right around the corner. I just love this time of year, not only is it Valentine’s Day that we will be celebrating this month but it is also my husband and I’s wedding anniversary. For the first two weeks of February we celebrate our love for each other in a variety of different ways. One way I like to show my love is through delicious homemade treats. As a part of the Walmart Moms, today I will be sharing a simple, no bake recipe for peanut butter crispy squares with a Valentine’s Day twist. These treats are not only easy to make but are the perfect amount of sweetness for any Valentine’s Day occasion. All ingredients used in this recipe can easily be found in the grocery section of Walmart stores.

In a large microwave safe bowl, add peanut butter and butter. Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir. Return to microwave and cook an additional 30 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir until butter is melted and combined with peanut butter. Add rice crispy cereal. Stir to coat evenly. Set aside and allow to cool for approximately 15 minutes. Add M&M’s and sprinkles. Stir. Add powdered sugar and stir until completely combined with other ingredients. Press mixture down into a 13×9 inch greased, glass baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 tbsp of each kind of sprinkles plus 1/4 cup of M&M’s. Cover and refrigerate until cool and set about 2 hours.
In this recipe I added both Valentine’s Day themed sprinkles and M&M’s that I found in my local Walmart store. I loved seeing all of the various Valentine’s Day themed decor plus ingredients for sweet treats in the store. I fell in love with the tiny heart sprinkles, I knew they would add the right touch to these peanut butter crispy squares.
