Life has gotten crazy. Because of this I haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy an activity that I typically treat myself to once a week and that is painting my nails. I prefer to paint my nails in the comfort of my own home not only is this better for my budget but it also gives me something to do while I binge watch my favorite show on Netflix. Now that it is summer time, I need to take that break for myself at least once a week.
I bought this nail polish a while ago. It has been sitting on my desk begging to be used for weeks. When I found these new polishes from Wet N Wild I knew that I just HAD to try them. As a Mom I use my hands a lot from dishes to laundry to crafting and typing. I’m rough on my hands and nails which often times leads to a chipped manicure fairly quickly. So when shopping for nail polishes at my local drugstores I always look at the gel polishes first. The reason for this is because gel polishes with their thicker formula tend to last longer than traditional nail polishes especially considering all of the tough activities I put my nails through.
The problem, however, with most gel polishes is they require the use of a UV lamp. These lamps can be pretty pricey which is why I love when I come across a brand that has created a gel polish that doesn’t require the use of a lamp to “cure”. But Wet N Wild takes it a step further in their 1 Step WonderGel Nail Color, instead of having one base color and one gel top coat, they have combined the two into one simple step which is perfect for busy moms.
I chose this beautiful lavender shade for my nail color this week. Lavender and purples in general have really started to become my “power” color recently. I love it! But of course I can’t just have a simple color on my nails, I need a bit of an accent so I decided to rock a glitter nail on my ring fingers. Instead of layering the glitter on top of the gel color I opted just to paint it onto my bare nail to give a bit of a subtle contrast to the lavender.

Overall, I am loving this nail look in my power color, lavender. It is beautiful as both a manicure and a pedicure especially for summer.
