Happy Friday everyone! Phew, I’m glad we made it to the weekend. One of my favorite ways to relax after a long and stressful week is by binge watching a new show, catching up on movies I’ve yet to see, or just checking out the latest from my favorite YouTube vloggers. I’m always interested in what others are watching so I thought I would share the shows that I’ve recently been into in a weekly roundup. I would love to hear from you, leave me your show, movie, or youtube recommendations in the comment section below, I’d love to check them out.

Binge Watched: This Week's Must Watch TV, Movies, and Web Videos (Week 1)

The OA

What can I say about this show other than the fact that it is something that I am typically not into. I decided to watch this on a whim scrolling on Netflix one day and was instantly sucked in. It is bizarre and weird yet thrilling. Each episode leaves you scratching your head and wanting to continue watching to see what happens. All I can say is this show is definitely worth a look.

Black Mirror

This show had me absolutely fascinated. If you are interest in the technology of the future, I would highly recommend watching this show on Netflix. There aren’t very many episodes in the seasons but you do get a real life Jetsons vibe when you watch them. Each episode is a completely different story, so you can skip around if you like. There are some stories that really stand out to me while others not so much. Regardless, I would highly recommend you watching this. My favorite episodes from this series were: Season 3 Episode 1 Nosedive, Season 2 Episode 1 Be Right Back, and Season 1 Episode 3 The Entire History of You. If you watch no other episodes, start with those first.

The Walking Dead

I am still a HUGE fan of the Walking Dead. Even though they are in Season 7 now I am still just as excited for each week’s episode as ever before. This is one of those shows that my husband and I try not to miss each week. It may be because they film this show in our home state that has us so intrigued, regardless, this season they are definitely not holding anything back. I don’t think I’ve gasped as much in a single season as I have this year. After what I like to refer to as the “holiday break” the Walking Dead will begin again on February 12th. You think the Super Bowl is a big TV day in our house, The Walking Dead premieres are perhaps just as big of an event. Also, is anyone else in love with Negan? I know he is absolutely a horrible person, but there is something about him that you can’t help but love. Maybe I’m just reminiscing about his Grey’s Anatomy days? If you aren’t caught up on this show, now is the time to binge watch before the midseason premiere.

The Cold Cheese Slice

If you are a fan of pizza this is a great little mini-documentary. Who has ever heard of a cold cheese slice? I may not live in New York but I am totally fascinated with the cold cheese slice. It looks SO good! I many need to implement this technique on Sunday during our families’ Super Bowl party.

The Little Prince

For the kids, I can’t recommend enough The Little Prince on Netflix. My boys and I absolutely loved this movie. The animation is gorgeous and the story is beautiful. It reminded me a lot of Coraline which is another movie that my family enjoys. Definitely a must see.

What have you binge watched lately?

Got a recommendation? I’d love to hear it. Let me know what tv shows, movies, or youtube videos I should watch next in the comment section below.

Have a great weekend everybody!
