Going to a Renaissance Festival in Spring is an activity my family and I try to do at least once every few years. It is always so much fun. There is lots of entertainment, tons of delicious foods, and plenty of little shops to find that perfect souvenir.
In Georgia, the Renaissance Festival takes place every weekend (and Memorial Day) from April 15 to June 4. This year will be the 32nd year that the Georgia Renaissance Festival has taken place. My boys and I went a few years ago and had the BEST time. We love seeing the various costumed characters, watching circus-style entertainment, cheering for our favorite jousting knight on horseback, visiting the various stages and planning which acts we want to see during our day. Those who love cosplay can even come dressed in your favorite medieval costumes. Not only is attending the Georgia Renaissance Festival lots of family fun but it is also full of rich History.
May 9, 2017 – Homeschool/Student Day at the Georgia Renaissance Festival
Speaking of History, as a homeschooling family I love that the Georgia Renaissance Festival has a homeschool/student day. This is such a great opportunity to see History come to life through unique characters and historical figures from the Renaissance period. Explore what life could have been like in the 1500s while learning History, Math, Science, Language, Theatre and Art as a family in an extremely fun way!
- On Homeschool/Student Day receive a comprehensive Curriculum Guide with your paid reservation.

How does the promo code work?
I had a wonderful reader comment below that when purchasing GA Renfest tickets online that the promo code only subtracts an additional 13% from the total. After speaking with a representative for the festival, I was informed that the promo code deducts the remaining percentage from the original GATE pricing. When purchasing tickets to the GA Renaissance Festival online there is already an online discount in place for admission. The promo code will deduct the remaining percentage so that the total percentage off will be 25% for adults and 30% for kids from the GATE pricing either way. So whether you purchase tickets in person at the gate or in advance online, ticket prices with the discount should come out to be around $16.50 for adults and $6.95 for kids.
