Fashioned!, Interview with Giuliana Rancic, Tropicana Juicy Insider, Whipped-Up Wednesday »
I recently had the opportunity to speak one on one with Giuliana Rancic, you might have heard of her from E! News, about her recent involvement with Tropicana Trop50 and got to pick her brain a bit about what sort of fashions to expect for the summer.
You recently teamed up with Tropicana Trop50, can you fill us in on what Trop50 is and what it’s benefits might be?
Tropicana Trop50 is my favorite drink right now. It is so fantastic. First of all it is delicious, it comes in two flavors pomegranate blueberry and pineapple mango. What I love about it is that it is 50% less calories and 50% less sugar than other fruit juices AND no artificial sweeteners which is so important which you see a lot of times in these types of juices. It’s a fantastic juice, especially for the summer. It’s just a great drink and I’m loving it.
Swimsuit season is upon us, What are some fashion tips to make swimsuit season a little less dreadful?
Well I can show you a few styles that people that come to your blog can identify with. For instance, let’s take a look at my model Caitlin here. Caitlin feels she has not enough bust which I’m sure a lot of people that read your website think the same thing. Basically what I said was Caitlin let’s go for a pattern on top. So we went with this great pattern because it adds a little bulk to the bust area. You can also achieve this look with beading, ruching, basically anything that adds bulk to the top. And Caitlin like all crazy models thinks she is a little big at the hips, can you imagine, so I said you know what, Caitlin, I’ll work with you girl. We went with a solid color on the bottom. What you want to do is you don’t want the attention to be on the bottom, you want the eyes to go upward towards the bust area. So I think she looks great and what I’m loving too is that Caitlin obviously is so young and hip so instead of doing the traditional wrap we did instead this Michael Stars top which is this really cute cover-up and it keeps her really hip and on trend for the summer.
Being a Fashion Blogger you must be on top of all the trends, what are the kinds of trends we will be seeing in swimsuits this year?
Well some of the other trends are one pieces because they are so glamorous. So let’s bring out our one piece model, this is Nicky. And I love this look. First of all, one pieces are very forgiving and they are very slimming which I love. Women tend to go for blacks or navy blues and I say you know what forget that. You can still look slimming and gorgeous in this fuchsia color, it’s this wonderful color for the summer and a lot of one pieces are doing these little add-ons, its kind of a substitute for jewelry with pretty beading. So we really want to get a one-piece that makes our bodies look good in a fun color but also has something interesting going on with it otherwise its just a boring one-piece. And over sized sunglasses are huge this summer, if you’ve seen Sex and the City 2 or are planning on seeing it all the girls are wearing oversized glasses. They just scream glamor and beautiful. I was showing the Micheal Star’s coverup earlier before, well Nicky here is going for the more glamorous look so we put a wrap on her. There are so many light wraps out there. You can cover up what you want and at night if it gets a little chilly you can throw it over your shoulders to be warm.
Can you share with us what types of swimsuits work best on different body types?
Well if you have a pretty great body like our next girl does, Casey, you can wear this beautiful bando style. This is my favorite bikini right now because for a lot of women you have to figure out what you like the best about your body. So like Casey here she has wonderful shoulders and a great clavicle, so we put her in a bando style top to really accentuate that. And what I love too is that there are no tan lines. I am on so many red carpets and see so many actresses in these gorgeous Oscar Dela Renta gowns with tan lines! And I’m like are you kidding me? Whether you are an actress or a regular girl going out at night in a strapless dress, tan lines are a no-no, I do not forgive you for tan lines. So this will avoid that and it could be a little boring unless you spiced it up a bit like we did with this statement necklace. There is no reason you can’t wearing jewelry to the beach. A great cuff and of course a hat to get rid of any UV rays because wrinkles are so 10 years ago.
What is your number one tip for keeping your cool and keeping your confidence while wearing a swimsuit?
I think diet is so important. It really is. No matter how great your swimsuit is and how wonderful your spray tan is before you go to the beach. You know you really have to have a good diet because if you don’t you are going to feel bloated, you are not going to feel good at the beach. The key is having healthy snacks on hand. I love nuts, I love fiber crackers, anything that is a little filling and of course drinks. I don’t do the big slushy drinks when I go to the pool or the beach because then I feel bloated and embarrassed so instead I do the light drinks like the Trop50. So these are some tips that hopefully will help your readers and for sure go to Trop50.com because I have come up with 50 tips for the summer to help women look good and of course feel good too, which is the most important thing.

I’m such a geek, I know. I love everything about social media. My favorite aspect is connecting with new people and sharing in “real-time”. Twitter is my first love as far as social media outlets are concerned. Sure there was MySpace but I never “got into” MySpace as I have Twitter. I tweet my life and I enjoy it.

I’ve made so many wonderful connections through twitter. Anything that I’m apart of in terms of social media is always linked back to twitter. For instance today I was trying to figure out what a good Facebook App would be that would automatically import all of my tweets to my profile page. I rarely update Facebook directly, it’s always through my twitter account. After several failed attempts at using Twitter’s method, I ended up going back to SupaSync.
But that is besides the point. I eat, breath, live Twitter updates. As I’ve mentioned in the past, I love great Twitter jewelry. It shows my geek side and is a great conversation piece. Take for instance this @thedomesticdiva silver Twitter necklace that Survival of the Hippest sent to me just the other day to take a look at. What I instantly loved about this Twitter necklace is that it can easily go with everything that I wear. Because it is so beautifully made in silver, I can wear it like any other favorite piece of jewelry I might own. Survival of the Hippest doesn’t make just necklaces but they also make a coveted matching anklet amongst other things like tie clips and keychains. Survival of the Hippest Twitter Jewelry makes my little geeky heart SO happy! In the language of twitter : “showing some ♥ @thehippest, custom twitter necklaces FTW!”
Disclosure: A twitter ID necklace sample was given to me by Survival of the Hippest to help in writing this post. Although product was received the opinions in this post are completely my own.

365 {Diva} Days, Fashioned!, Lee Fit Ambassador »
I’m a Lee Fit Ambassador and occasionally Lee will send me one of their latest products to try out. They recently sent me a pair of their Lee Slender Secret Nassau Capri’s to try out and with all the beautiful weather we have been having lately I knew the perfect time to do it.

Our town is currently having a festival so I opted to wear these capri’s out and about. We did a lot of walking and the capri’s held up great. They didn’t get too baggy throughout the day which I loved. The fabric is very smooth and just feels good on the skin. Very comfortable and easily fashionable piece of clothing. You can dress these capri’s up or dress them down. Go to the park or out for a night on the town. I love that they are just simply classic in every way with a thin belt to add a sleek touch.
Lee is really starting to push their Slender Secret line of clothing and the capri’s that I tried out are just one of the many different styles and variety that they offer.
Capri’s always signify the beginning of the warming weather months, so I’m happy to welcome the comfortable Lee Slender Nassau Capri’s into my spring wardrobe.
To find out the latest happenings with Lee, fan them on Facebook.

Spring is showing up more and more everyday. Our Cherry Blossom trees have finally begun to bloom. I love these trees, perhaps because I’ve grown up around them my entire life regardless I think they are pretty.

Speaking of Spring and newness, I’ve been trying out different products over the past several weeks for various companies and Breeze Comfort is one that I would like to highlight today. Breeze Comfort is a bra company but what caught my eye about this company is the way their bra pads are made. They actually have tiny holes in them. Sounds weird, huh? That is what I thought but the idea is to offer circulation.
I tried out 3 products from the Breeze Comfort line (that the company sent to me) and the Pink/Black Diva Sports Bra was my favorite. Then again, I might be little partial to the name. Without going into too much details, lets just say it helped hold things in place pretty well and I liked the feel of the fabric against my skin. This bra ties around your neck similar to a swimming suite which can begin to become uncomfortable after a while so I didn’t like that part so much. I did like the extra wide pink band at the bottom that hugs your ribcage offering more coverage than a traditional sports bra. But out of the one’s I tried out this one is at the top of the list.
The other two bras that I tried were a Basic Padded Bra and a Push-up Bra (for those days when the ladies need a little extra attention) both in a Nude color so I can wear them under white t-shirts. These bras aren’t very flexible but they do stay in place which I like. My only complaint were the straps, they seem a bit thin too me because I’m used to a thicker type of strap. But I can easily wear these bras from day to day and hope that over time they will loosen up and conform more “to me”.
The concept behind the Breeze Comfort line is interesting to me. I didn’t see a noticable different in whether or not the ladies could “breathe” a little easier but maybe that is the point. I suppose the true test will come during the hot southern summer months. I do like how the ladies look a bit perkier now “in their new clothes” if you will.
To find out all the nitty-gritty about these bras, check out Breeze Comfort online.

I love embracing my geek side especially in accessories. This custom twitter @username necklace was given to me by CBT’s Closet. I think it is absolutely adorable. It really shows my love for twitter.
What has surprised me the most about CBT’s Closet is their prices! After scanning over their website one can see that their jewelry is very affordable. Take for instance this Twitterati Necklace for only $15 or this new and adorable Sparrow Necklace.
The chain that came on the necklace that was given to me is really nice as well. I like the feel of it and the CBT’s Closet charm on the back adds a great personal handmade touch.

Props for CBT’s Closet for making adorable, affordable, geektastic jewelry!
I’m always on the lookout for geeky jewelry and so far, out of what I’ve found so far, CBT’s Closet is high on my list. If you know of any companies, or have one yourself, that offers jewelry, accessories, clothing that has geek appeal please let us know, we would love to take a look!

You guys already know how much I love damask! My home office is decorated in damask black/white with hot pink accents and I couldn’t be any more happier than when I am in this room.
But I’m thinking my obsession with Damask is going a little bit too far.
You might have noticed that I have new blog designed based around my home office. Do you like?
I’m also revamping my twitter and facebook fan page to reflect the same damask-esque type feel.

But my damask love hasn’t stopped there. It has crossed the line.
The line into my wardrobe.
I found this Damask Print Handbag @ wakeupfrankie.com and fell absolutely, head over heels in love with it. It’s like carrying my office colors with me on the go. This bag might not go with everything that I wear every single day but I’m carrying this bag everywhere I go regardless because I love it that much!
Damask FTW!
