You don’t realize how much you miss your home or your routine until life throws you a curve ball and you are completely out of your element. This week we have been at my mother’s house while my husband helps my Dad clean up the debris in his yard as well as the debris in our soon to be new home. My job is to entertain the kids but honestly there is so much TV watching that I can stand. We would go out and play but oops the yard is full of trees, so much for that idea. We have no toys here so there really isn’t much to do but ride around town looking at the death and destruction but even that has gotten old after just a week.
I have noticed though that we are very dependent upon our certain schedule and our things in our home. The kids don’t do so well without their set schedule and lack of activities, which I totally can not blame them one bit. I also notice that when Daddy isn’t around that the kids treat me in a completely different way. The Pnut especially has been giving me all kinds of attitude and lip but I know it is just a way of acting out under the present circumstances. I know he doesn’t know what is going on and might even be a little scared of the whole situation.
I had internet tonight for a couple of hours so I decided to get some paid posting worked in as well as a few updates. Scroll down the page and you will see the updates every other one. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
Don’t forget to send a little donation love our way to help us in the clean up of the tornado damage (you can do so at the top of my sidebar—>). Thank you so much to everyone that has already donate what they could. I can not express to you how much you have to touched my heart already. When I logged on and saw some people had already donated, I immediately began to cry. You will be blessed! Thank you so much. *BIG HUGS*
Pnut can come up with the craziest phrases some times. Let’s just say that Pnut (my oldest son who is almost 3 1/2 yrs. old) has a very active imagination especially since he has really gotten to get into the Disney Movie “Peter Pan”. Anyway, back to the title of this post. The other day I was taking Pnut to go to the bathroom. He did his doodie and looked into the toilet with the most serious look on his face and said….”Mama, Loooooook Elephant Worms!” ROFL I couldn’t help but die laughing on the spot. I mean seriously, when did turds become known as elephant worms. Only in my crazy house I tell ya.
Boys, they are something special.
We love all things pasta in my house so last night I fixed the boys spaghetti. Wow what a mess! Spaghetti was slung from one end of the kitchen to the other. While eating spaghetti pnut attempted to twirl in on his fork while the bean opted to wear most of it. But really nothing is funnier than watching two babies try to eat spaghetti.
Look out world, Pnut got his very first t-ball set this weekend and has been batting it up ever since. Pnut even at three years of age loves everything baseball just like his Daddy. So, when we saw this cute little tykes t-ball set at good ol’ Wally world we couldn’t resist getting it for him. He loves it so much and feels just like a big baseball player.
Too bad the weather isn’t cooperating with us at the moment. It is really frigid where I live and the wind is blowing strong making it very hard to enjoy a game of t-ball with pnut. Hopefully when I get back from my trip the weather will have warmed up and I can enjoy some time out in the sun with the boys.
Here is a video I just took of pnut drawing. It is pretty funny stuff. He thinks he drew a dinosaur fossil. Wow kids and their imaginations!!!
Translation:
“Mama, First we need paint (aka a marker)”
“Mama, Look what I found.”
“What is it?” -ME
“Dinosaur Fossil”
“You drew a Dinosaur” -ME
“Dinosaur Fossil”
“Oh, Dinosaur Fossil” -ME
“And another one!”
“You drew another one” -ME
“OH NO!”
“I don’t know what that sounds like?”
“I’m going to go see the sound”.
Did anyone catch the super hero move at the end? Pnut loves super heroes and is all the time imitating them. At the end of the video you will hear him scream because he hears an airplane, then he rushes off heroic’ly to look out the window.
