You don’t realize how much you miss your home or your routine until life throws you a curve ball and you are completely out of your element. This week we have been at my mother’s house while my husband helps my Dad clean up the debris in his yard as well as the debris in our soon to be new home. My job is to entertain the kids but honestly there is so much TV watching that I can stand. We would go out and play but oops the yard is full of trees, so much for that idea. We have no toys here so there really isn’t much to do but ride around town looking at the death and destruction but even that has gotten old after just a week.
I have noticed though that we are very dependent upon our certain schedule and our things in our home. The kids don’t do so well without their set schedule and lack of activities, which I totally can not blame them one bit. I also notice that when Daddy isn’t around that the kids treat me in a completely different way. The Pnut especially has been giving me all kinds of attitude and lip but I know it is just a way of acting out under the present circumstances. I know he doesn’t know what is going on and might even be a little scared of the whole situation.
I had internet tonight for a couple of hours so I decided to get some paid posting worked in as well as a few updates. Scroll down the page and you will see the updates every other one. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
Don’t forget to send a little donation love our way to help us in the clean up of the tornado damage (you can do so at the top of my sidebar—>). Thank you so much to everyone that has already donate what they could. I can not express to you how much you have to touched my heart already. When I logged on and saw some people had already donated, I immediately began to cry. You will be blessed! Thank you so much. *BIG HUGS*
Pnut can come up with the craziest phrases some times. Let’s just say that Pnut (my oldest son who is almost 3 1/2 yrs. old) has a very active imagination especially since he has really gotten to get into the Disney Movie “Peter Pan”. Anyway, back to the title of this post. The other day I was taking Pnut to go to the bathroom. He did his doodie and looked into the toilet with the most serious look on his face and said….”Mama, Loooooook Elephant Worms!” ROFL I couldn’t help but die laughing on the spot. I mean seriously, when did turds become known as elephant worms. Only in my crazy house I tell ya.
Boys, they are something special.
Well guys, this is the last thing I have to do…pack up my mac. So there will be no more up dates until probably later on tomorrow night. I will get to reveal to you where I am at as soon as I gain internet access. But if I have internet access at the airport then I can at least twitter or write a small blog post on my ipod touch.
I am so excited!!!! I can hardly stand it. The boys and hubby are already missing me.
Wish me luck! Gnight all…until tomorrow.
We love all things pasta in my house so last night I fixed the boys spaghetti. Wow what a mess! Spaghetti was slung from one end of the kitchen to the other. While eating spaghetti pnut attempted to twirl in on his fork while the bean opted to wear most of it. But really nothing is funnier than watching two babies try to eat spaghetti.
Today, I woke up with a sore throat!!! Are you kidding me. It seems like each day that draws closer to the day that we leave for my “secret trip” that I get a little more sick. This is so not cool. I don’t want to be a boogery mess on the biggest trip of my life. Being sick and looking like crap does not represent the best you, let me tell you.
So are you guys about to die with anticipation of the big announcement tomorrow?
Well a month ago I found out I was going on this “secret trip” and well lets just say I still have so post-pregnancy fat hanging on. I wanted to slim down some before the big day but so far I only lost 5 lbs. I know I should be thankful that I am 5 lbs. less but I am still not back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I have never been a person that carried around a lot of weight. I’ve always be trim. So whenever I get fat due to pregnancies, it is really hard for my body to let go of that weight…for some reason. It is so frustrating at times.
Anyway I will look at the bright side and that is that I am going to my “secret trip” five pounds lighter. I will not focus on the other 15 I still have to lose.
Today, I am finishing up the rest of the laundry and picking out my best outfits to take with me on my “secret trip”. Isn’t the suitcases I found adorable? I love skullies and just had to have a skully bag to travel with (found it at walmart btw). Anyway, my trip is less than two days away and I am beginning to get really excited and nervous. I have no idea what type of clothes I should wear or anything. Uuugghh, it is so nerve racking preparing for the unknown.
Look out world, Pnut got his very first t-ball set this weekend and has been batting it up ever since. Pnut even at three years of age loves everything baseball just like his Daddy. So, when we saw this cute little tykes t-ball set at good ol’ Wally world we couldn’t resist getting it for him. He loves it so much and feels just like a big baseball player.
Too bad the weather isn’t cooperating with us at the moment. It is really frigid where I live and the wind is blowing strong making it very hard to enjoy a game of t-ball with pnut. Hopefully when I get back from my trip the weather will have warmed up and I can enjoy some time out in the sun with the boys.
After reading this story about a group of third graders plotting to kill their teacher, I’ve seriously begun thinking about homeschooling my children. Seriously, third graders? It is unreal. I can barely wrap my mind around it. What is up with kids today?
So I have begun to research on how and when I should begin to homeschool my children. Many websites I have looked at said to begin homeschooling at 6? That seems like a long time to wait to educate my children. Pnut is only 3 and I know that they have pre-K programs that they offer but I don’t know how to do them at home nor can I find any information on what I need to start them in our home.
Does anyone else homeschool? Is there any information you can give me on when and how to start homeschooling? Any information would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
Now how many people do you know that would drive two hours just to get a good haircut? Well now you can say that you know one of those crazy people. Last week, I took the trek two hours away just to get my hair done because in approximately 8 days I will be attending a HUGE event (to which is still nameless to you) that I absolutely had to look glamorous for.
Paula, my hairstylist, is amazing and can work her magic on just about anyones hair. I’m sure many of you remember the first time I went to see her to get my ubber cool, punk rock haircut. Well this time I walked in there without a picture and she was able to shorten it up, since it had been 2 months since I last got it cut, exactly how I had it cut originally. I was very impressed. She is such a fun lady and super easy to talk to. I was telling her about the “HUGE event” coming up in a couple of weeks, and she acted really excited for me. I told her that when not if I become famous that she can be my traveling hairstylist.
Paula you rock my socks, and I am more than happy to drive 2 hours just to have you snip my ends!!!
Do you have a loyal hairstylist that you just have to see? Do you refuse to go see anyone else?
