Anyone starting out in the babywearing world should first begin with a basic babywearing staple like a sling. Next as your baby grows larger you will want to graduate to something more secure and versatile like the Sleepy Wrap. Sleepy Wraps are great they are often referred in reference to the ever popular Moby wrap. It is the same concept but better in my opinion.
Sleepy Wraps have a little bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of wrapping the baby close to you then you will really enjoy the look and feel of wraps. Wraps to me are the best babywearing item out there because they are so comfortable to wear. I could literally wear a wrap all day long if I had to. The weight of the baby is evenly distributed throughout your back so you don’t have one area digging into your skin. Also with wraps you have the option of either front or back carry as well as the discreteness of breastfeeding while in public.
Anytime the little Bean gets in a wrap he immediately falls asleep, it makes him feel so comfortable and secure. In the beginning I used to wear the Bean anywhere and everywhere, now that he is a little older he wants to be free but for the days where he wants or just has to be picked up but yet I still have things to get done then the wrap comes in handy for sure. I can wear the Bean on my back and get everyday household chores done and still spend some quality time with my baby. Really for this multitasking mom it is just a staple in our home.
Oh and ladies don’t think that you are the only ones that enjoy babywearing, the men love to babywear just as much as we do! Believe it!! I’ve had several husbands step up to the game and start wearing their babies with such pride. You should see the looks and comments we receive when we are out and about with my husband wearing the baby instead of me. And ladies, a little secret he ASKS me to wear the baby there is no fighting, he actually wants to wear the baby! Trust me once your significant other sees you having all the fun wearing baby around the house he is bound to join in with you.
So if and when you are in the market to try out baby wraps I highly suggest Sleepy Wraps as your one stop shop for baby wraps.
Oh how I loathe moving. It is such a pain in my neck. Moving involves so much work that when you first think of the idea of moving that it never really hits you how much work is involved until you start doing it. I don’t know why people move, I mean honestly it is such a pain to move. Why even do it? Why not just start from scratch wherever you are moving to?
Anyway with all of the moving we have been doing over the last week there has also been way too much cleaning involved. When you rent a home you have to clean it from top to bottom when you move out so that you can hopefully get your deposit back in the end. Well one of the most tedious tasks for me has always been scrubbing the tub. No matter how hard you work at it it just seems to always be gross especially in a tub that you don’t “own”. Well, this time around I got to try out my new Action Scrubbers from Scrubbing Bubbles. Can I just say…what. a. blessing! This little spongy pad thing did wonders on that gross tub. I didn’t have to stay in there scrubbing for hours. With just a couple swipes of the sponge I was soapscum and grime free! Thank goodness! Now with cleaning out of the way I’m off to unload our stuff into our new home!!!
Please make sure you visit Scrubbingbubbles.com to find out more about their latest product, Action Scrubbers. Don’t forget to be on the lookout for them at the store. They are amazing to try out!
Essential Angel’s new organic skincare for children is absolutely phenomenal. I love the fact that these products are organic which is a huge plus since we are slowly converting everything we use to organic only. Even though this stuff was designed for children, I still couldn’t help but test it out for myself. I love how clean and fresh it made my face feel without it being dried out or tight feeling. I can really see how children would love to use this stuff. The packaging is cute and for any little girl just learning to follow a facial routine this would be the perfect gift for them. The instructions are as easy as 1, 2, 3.
I really hope that one day Essential Angel will create a line formulated just for adults that crave organic skincare!
I don’t have an opportunity to take a photo of my new favorite accessory since I am in the middle of moving (packing and unpacking the house) but I would like to introduce it to you. It is called the Roll-N-Go Rollable Diaper Caddy. This thing is so cool and so convenient that every mother should get one! What it is is like a diaper bag liner. It easily organizes everything from diapers to wipes to even bottles and pacifiers. It rolls up neatly to line the inside of your diaper bag and if you are one of those moms that likes to change diaper bags as often as they change shoes then all you have to do is grab the Roll-N-Go diaper caddy and transfer it to the new diaper bag without having to worry about reorganizing everything. How great is that! Ease and convenience, gotta love it!!!
TripFLIX is a fun, interactive DVD that takes families from boring everyday life in their Living Rooms to a fun vacation without even leaving the couch. With the cost of gasoline rising everyday, many of us are just simply cutting out our vacations this year for the lack of funds to get us there. Instead of dreading not having a vacation this summer, why not take one in your own living room. By viewing TripFlix as a family you are able to see fun and exciting vacations spots in other places of the country without actually having to be there. Every wanted to visit Space Camp in Illinois? Well now you can.
TripFlix takes you to 25 fun exciting places across the country. Learn fun interesting facts and when it is time for you to take a vacation again you can visit one of the places that you previewed on the DVD which will make the kid’s super excited about visiting now.
I love the idea of TripFlix because let’s face it not everyone can afford to go on some big, fancy vacation year after year. Sure we all need a little vacation but if the means are there it isn’t going to happen. I am greatful for TripFlix and the fun it has provided me and my family.

As a mother I struggle with the task of trying to think of new and exciting things for the boys to do on a dull summer afternoon. When it is too hot to go outdoors and the kids won’t stop screaming my name, we came up with Craft Time. Each day for an hour or two the boys sit around the Step 2 Creative Projects Table and create whatever their little hearts desire.
Anything goes during craft time, they can glue, cut, color, whatever so long as it is creative and done at their “special table”.
The Step 2 Creative Projects Table gives craft time a new meaning of organization. The sides house all of our color books and school prep work. The top has anything from paints to playdough. And the four compartments on the sides of the top of the table holds all of our crayons, markers, colored pencils, and stickers. It is great to have a place in the house specifically designed for the boys to do their crafts other than the kitchen table. Now messes are easily kept at bay and the boys feel a sense of responsibility for their new play space.
I’m not very particular on what kind of wine I drink. I’m definitely not a wino, give me some hard liquor and I’ll do just fine. But for some people wine is their thing. They drink it everyday at the end of the day as a means to unwind. For those people that just have to have wine, how about gifting them with a wine of the month clubs membership. What better gift for you fellow wino’s than a new wine each month?
