We drove across a state line tonight to visit a very special restaurant to help them celebrate their twentieth birthday. That’s right, Outback Steakhouse turns twenty this month and the bloomin’ onions are better than ever!
Stepping in the door you know that you are in a different world. The friendly host staff, greets you with a smile and holds the door pleasantly. The wait staff is as equally pleasant making sure that our order was just right. Even though our waitress was a newbie, I knew she had been trained well because our orders were flawless. Way to go, Aleah, you did great! I hope you get a new button for your shirt.
Hubby ordered the Outback Special and I got the fried shrimp. The shrimp was big and juicy. I was pleasantly surprised that the shrimp wasn’t overcooked. Hubby’s steak was cooked exactly how he likes it. Even the macaroni and cheese that we ordered for pnut tasted wonderful. Am I making your mouth water yet?
But if you are in the mood for appetizers, We would highly suggest the most coveted Bloomin’ Onion. The onion is ginormous, grown especially for Outback Restaurants, with a nice spicy kick. Hubby favored the spinach and artichoke dip. He liked the fact that it was served with toasted bread instead of the usual chips.
Right now in honor of their birthday, Outback is running a fantastic special that you really need to take advantage of. Now until the end of April you can partake in some special menu items like the Sirloin, Shrimp, and Scallops Mixed Grill or the Chargrilled Tuscan Rib-eye. Amongst the favorited Bloomin’ Onion, Outback also offers a desert that you will definitely want to save room for. The Chocolate Thunder from Down Under is a little slice of chocolate heaven.
Whether you are celebrating a special event or just want to do something as a family, Outback Steakhouse is a great place to enjoy a nice relaxing dinner.
