I’ve been using the Epson NX400 all-in-one Printer in my personal home office now for several weeks and I must say that I am very impressed with the performance of this printer in general. Being a mommy blogger who works with many of the top named companies of the world, I have to constantly scan and print items to send to various companies, etc. so this printer has really come in handy in what I need to use it for which is basically to print and scan documents. Many of you may remember my recent trip to Bentonville, AR to visit with the Walmartians, when I got back I immediately had to print out my photo with Paula Deen using the Epson Sylus NX400. I was highly impressed with the quality print out of the photograph on photo paper, it is practically just as good as if I had gone to a photo printer and had them do it for me. I have the Epson PictureMate Dash PM260 Compact Photo Inkjet Printer (C11C694201) that I typically print my photographs from but now I think I’m going to be switching solely to the NX400 due to its high quality in everything that it prints.
I tried this printer on both my mac and my pc with no problems connecting it to the computers or printing in any way. With older printers they typically have only two cartridges but with this printer there are individual cartridges for each color that you use. The individual cartridges cost less so it can help you save money when you run low on just one color.
Overall, I would give this printer two HUGE thumbs up on being both easy to use and great on quality. Did I mention that you can print without even being hooked up to a computer. Say a friend wants to copy a recipe from you, all you need to do is hit copy on the printer and it will scan and print out a copy of the recipe for your friend without even having to turn the computer on to do it. Very cool feature indeed. So yes two thumbs up on the Epson Stylus NX400, a must-have accessory to your home office.
The Epson NX400 all-in-one Printer is perfect for the home office and would make a great gift for anyone that works from home or spends a lot of time in their office. The Epson NX400 is also budget friendly coming in at under $100, for a high quality printer that is a steal of a price!
Motrin has been giving Moms a HUGE headache this weekend with their recent ad targeting “babywearing moms”. Mommy blogger took to the interwebs posting their comments on blogs, twitter, even making vlogs expressing their disgust with the recent ad.
“With regards to the recent Motrin advertisement, we have heard you.
On behalf of McNeil Consumer Healthcare and all of us who work on the Motrin Brand, please accept our sincere apology.
We have heard your concerns about the ad that was featured on our website. We are parents ourselves and we take feedback from moms very seriously.
We are in the process of removing this ad from all media. It will, unfortunately, take a bit of time to remove it from our magazine advertising, as it is on newstands and in distribution.
Thank you for your feedback. It’s very important to us.”
Sincerely,
Kathy Widmer
Vice President of Marketing
McNeil Consumer Healthcare
Thankfully all of this talk was not done in vain. Motrin has sent out a public apology for the ad and are pulling it from all media outlets. Next time, Motrin might want to partner up with us, mommy bloggers before another ugly episode occurs. Don’t believe that the fuss was that great? You might want to check out the #motrinmoms convo on twitter.
What do you think about the recent Motrin ad? Did you write about it on your blog too? Share your links in the comment section of this post, I want to hear what you’ve got to say about the issue.
I recently went to Bentonville, Arkansas as one of Walmart’s Elevenmoms unfortunately while I was there my windows computer, the computer that I do graphic design on, unfortunately died. I mean I knew its day was eventually going to come to an end but I had no idea it would have been so soon. So when I got back into town I was on the hunt for a new computer because after all if I wanted to continue sharing my talent for graphic design I had to get another computer to do “my job”. I have a very tight, limit budget and was on the hunt for a new windows computer under $500 and with windows XP because I absolutely despise Windows Vista it is such a horrible operating system that despite how many people I talked to about it they all said the same thing, they hate Vista! Case and point, right? You bet cha. So I was on the hunt. Computer under $500 with windows XP. I looked everywhere from Amazon to Walmart to eBay. Know what I found? The Acer Aspire One 8.9-inch Mini Laptop (1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) White!
This computer is absolutely amazing and the size is so small it doesn’t even feel like a real computer. These new computers that are coming out that are smaller, lightweight than a traditional laptop are called netbooks. I’ve read articles where they said they are the perfect computer for kids but honestly I find that they are the perfect computer for a blogger. Being that I have to travel to different blogger events all the time, I find it comforting that I can just grab this computer and throw it in my purse versus having to lug around a purse and a laptop bag to these different events. It is so small compact and incredibly light weight that it is doesn’t feel like I have a laptop in my bag at all.
But don’t let its small size fool you this mini-laptop is packing a huge punch. It is super fast with 2 GB of RAM and has a 160 GB harddrive to store all of your movies, photos, etc. This thing definitely isn’t lacking any space at all. I use my Acer Aspire One for everything from graphic design to editing movies to making metoday post via the built in webcam. Everyday I find myself using this computer more and more. My poor little iBook must feel so abandoned now.
If you don’t like looking at the small screen when you aren’t out and about on business this mini-laptop has the option of hooking up a monitor to it so you can see a bigger picture. This is what I often do when I am at home so I am able to watch online videos, edit graphics, etc. so I don’t have to squint at a small screen.
I love this laptop and I’m sure it is going to be a very hot item this year for the holidays due to its almost perfect price tag. At just $350 this mini-laptop gives you the speed and functionality of a bigger laptop but in a small portable size that can virtually go anywhere with little to no hassle at all.
The Acer Aspire One 8.9-inch Mini Laptop (1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) comes in four beautiful colors white, black, navy, and pink. White and Navy are both in store at your local Walmart. If you want pink you can only buy it online. I couldn’t resist getting my hands on one of these laptops so I went ahead and got a white one at my local Walmart but if you are wiliing to wait I’d totally go for the pink one online for sure!
I don’t know about you but I am ubber excited that Fall Television is finally back on the airways. Oh how I have missed you Fall TV. My life was so boring, so uneventful without the anticipation of my favorite shows. Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Private Practice, and Pushing Daisies, I’ve longed to see your new episodes and funny characters.
So what have I been doing to fill the void before my favorite shows came back on the air? Well I’ve been watching box sets of some of my favorite shows like Samantha Who?, Desperate Housweives, and Grey’s Anatomy but box sets could never quench my thirst for something new, some new twist to the story line. But this week it all changed or is changing as there are several more premiers set to hit the airwaves later on this week.
Several shows have already premiered but in case you missed it you can watch full episodes online at ABC.com. What are you waiting for? Go pop some popcorn and fire up the computer you’ve got some catching up to do!
What shows are you anticipating the premier of? What do you think of the premiers that have already aired? For me personally, Grey’s Anatomy was the show that I just could not wait to see and I was so glad that I got two hours of McDreamy goodness all to myself. Desperate Housewives was a little weird with the whole jumping 5 years in the future but I suppose the new story line will have to do. Actually, I’m liking seeing Gabrielle a little plumper with two kids because in all honesty that really is what happens to most women after they have kids. Its Great!
I’ve been anticipating the release of the NEW Pussycat Dolls album “Doll Domination” for a while now. Every time it seemed to get close to the release date they would push back the date just a little bit further so that I had to wait even longer to get my Pussycat Doll fix. I don’t care what anyone says, I really like the Pussycat Dolls. I’m a huge fan of their fast “booty shake” stuff, not such a fan of the slow stuff though. I like music that makes me move not something that slows me down. After downloading the new album…finally…I was really pleased with it and I even found a way to get it a lot cheaper than the $10-$15 price tag that is often associated with new CDs. At amazon they have the Doll Domination mp3 download album for only $2.99. That comes with all 16 songs on the first CD. For $3 that is a steal. But if you want Doll Domination (Deluxe) it is going to cost you $9.49 that is unless you do my trick which is to buy the $3 version of Doll Domination then go into the deluxe version of the same album and download the extra 5 songs on the second disc individually which allows you to come out cheaper by a dollar or so. Are the 5 songs worth the trouble or the price of the deluxe album, it is all up to you. You can listen to the samples and decide for yourself if they are worth the download or not. But definitely snag up your copy of Doll Domination for just $2.99!!! If you don’t download an album, at least snag the single “When I Grow Up” for just 99 cents!!
I buy all of my music online from either Amazon or iTunes (only if Amazon doesn’t have it like audiobooks for example). I haven’t bought a CD in the longest time since switching solely to digital. Every Tuesday, I look out for new releases. And with my iPod Touch it just fuels my obsession for music even more!
What is the latest thing that you have downloaded or bought? What are you anticipating releasing into the music world? How do you listen to your downloads?
