Barielle: for your hands and feet

Nov 28, 2008 Author: The Domestic Diva | Filed under: Beauty, Product Reviews

Think about how much you use your hands? Isn’t it right for us to want to protect and nurture them as much as possible? How about your feet. Think about how much walking and standing we do on a daily basis. It is times that we stop neglecting these very important parts of our bodies and start to take care of them the proper way. I just discovered a new line of lotions and creams specifically for our hands and feet. It is from the company Barielle.

I started using the Barielle products the second it arrived on my doorstep. I love how soft it has made my hands and feet feel. Before using Barielle, I used to have dry, rough patches underneath where I wore my rings on my fingers but now the rough patches are gone. Also what I love about these products is that they absorb into your skin nicely without leaving a greasy feel behind.

    I Want That!

Pick up Barielle Nail Strengthener Cream 1oz, Professional Protective Hand Cream, 6-Ounces, and Total Foot Care Cream online. These would be great Holiday gifts due to the price. Each item is under $20.

So what is the secret to beautiful hair? We are about to find out in the video below. I’ve been ranting and raving about this shampoo/conditioner ever since my trip to Bentonville, Arkansas and now it it time to reveal to you what the name of this “mystery shampoo/conditioner” really is.

Who would have thought that unlocking the “mystery product” would have been Pantene this whole entire time? I am so shocked to find out that it was Pantene Pro V. I am still very impressed with this product and will probably continue to use it for the years to come. I firmly believe that the secret to beautiful hair really does start at your shampoo and conditioner. Without a good foundation your hair more than likely won’t be doing the things you want it to do. Now that the secret to beautiful hair has been set, my hair is now able to look better than it ever has before.

Don’t forget you can still snag a sample of this newly formulated Pantene Pro-V to try out for yourself.

I never thought that a flat iron did all that much to smoothing out hair. I tried flat irons in the past and they just did not hold up to my standards on what I thought a flat iron would do and that would be to make my frizzy, wavy hair smooth. After using the Sedu Revolution, I am absolutely blown away with this product in general. In the middle of testing out this new flat iron, I had to jump up on webcam and share with you guys just how well this flat iron was doing on my hair because I am a firm believer in seeing is believing.

“Must-Have Beauty Product of the Year”

The Sedu Revolution adjusts in temperature to help smooth out even the toughest to hair to straighten. Like I mentioned in the video review, I love the Sedu Revolution and all you beauty junkies out there will love it too! The secret to beautiful hair definitely starts with your shampoo and conditioner treatment but afterwords it needs a little help in smoothing it all out and that is where the Sedu comes in.

    I Want That!

Grab your own Sedu Revolution at their official website or you can check out more Sedu products online at places like Folica, and Amazon.

Say No to Violence Against Women

Nov 21, 2008 Author: The Domestic Diva | Filed under: Mommy Matters, Marriage Monologues, Domestic Duties

UNIFEM (United Nations Development Fund for Women) and Goodwill Ambassador Nicole Kidman needs your help in obtaining at least 1,000 signatures by November 24, 2008 to present to the UN Secretary General. Violence against anyone is a terrible thing but violence against women especially hits home for me being a mommy blogger. Marie Claire has even recently spoken out about the campaign. To get involved and have your voice heard you can add your name to the widget located at the bottom of this post. If you want to spread the word even further, feel free to write up a blog post, tweet about it on twitter, or give someone a call…however way you choose to get the word out would be a big help in making a difference.

Make sure you check out the official website for UNIFEM for more information.

Motrin angers Mommy Bloggers over Babywearing AD

Nov 17, 2008 Author: The Domestic Diva | Filed under: Mommy Matters, Twitter

Motrin issues Apology to Babywearing Mom Blogger Community

Motrin has been giving Moms a HUGE headache this weekend with their recent ad targeting “babywearing moms”. Mommy blogger took to the interwebs posting their comments on blogs, twitter, even making vlogs expressing their disgust with the recent ad.

“With regards to the recent Motrin advertisement, we have heard you.

On behalf of McNeil Consumer Healthcare and all of us who work on the Motrin Brand, please accept our sincere apology.

We have heard your concerns about the ad that was featured on our website. We are parents ourselves and we take feedback from moms very seriously.

We are in the process of removing this ad from all media. It will, unfortunately, take a bit of time to remove it from our magazine advertising, as it is on newstands and in distribution.

Thank you for your feedback. It’s very important to us.”

    Sincerely,
    Kathy Widmer
    Vice President of Marketing
    McNeil Consumer Healthcare

Thankfully all of this talk was not done in vain. Motrin has sent out a public apology for the ad and are pulling it from all media outlets. Next time, Motrin might want to partner up with us, mommy bloggers before another ugly episode occurs. Don’t believe that the fuss was that great? You might want to check out the #motrinmoms convo on twitter.

What do you think about the recent Motrin ad? Did you write about it on your blog too? Share your links in the comment section of this post, I want to hear what you’ve got to say about the issue.
