50 Years? Really has it been THAT long. Wow! Everyone knows and loves the classic Sleeping Beauty tale of the girl that pricks her finger on a spinning needle and can only be awaken by a kiss from her prince charming. Oh how little girls swoon over such love stories as this. But don’t be fooled, not just girls like Sleeping Beauty but the boys as well as there is plenty of fighting and sword play to keep them entertained as well. My boys for one love when the prince fights the evil dragon. My favorite characters have always been the three little fairies.

Another great thriller movie you should check out this week is Deception. Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams star in lust, lies, and deceit. After being invited in a mysterious club called “the List”, an accountant soon finds himself the prime suspect in a woman’s mysterious disappearance and multi-million dollar heist. I’d hate to give away the whole entire movie so I looked up a trailer video for you on youtube to check out. In this trailer it really does a great job of showing what the movie is about without giving it away….

With Halloween just around the corner, my husband and I have been on the hunt for some great thriller horror movies to watch to get us in the mood for the season. Everyone loves a good fright right? Well, this week our pick for a good scary-thriller movie would definitely be Pathology.

Since we love the series Heroes, we knew we would love to see a movie with one of our favorite actors in it, Milo Ventimiglia. Milo plays a Med Student that is excellent in solving forensics. After enrolling in a Pathology program he finds out that he signed up for something for more than he ever dreamed of. Without giving away too much of the movie, let’s just say that the game the med students play could and will end up deadly.

I would absolutely love to go on one of these Mediterranean cruises. I think it would be so much fun to go out and explore another part of the world. I know my husband and I would love to go to Japan one of these days. I also wouldn’t mind going and exploring a little bit of Europe. I think it would be fun but alas I think we will have to wait until our old age to do something so adventurous.

Now is a great time to go for vacation at the Outer Banks because everyone has retreated back home for the fall/winter months leaving now the prime time to go on your vacations. We all know that summer is always a super busy time to try and take a vacation as a family that is why we typically wait until fall or winter to get our little getaways in. When do you take your vacation? When do you usually go? By going on vacation either really late in the season or really early you can save money on things like hotel rooms.

Now that summer is over there isn’t as much talk about diet pills because people are slipping into the comforts of the holidays. While it is good to lose weight any time of the year it isn’t good to try to lose that weight in unhealthy ways. Here is my recipe for French Toast with Arnold Grains & More Bread….

Ingredients
6 slices Arnold Grains & More Bread
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp organic brown sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp butter
powder sugar for dusting
maple syrup

Directions
Preheat oven to 450°F. In a skillet melt 1 tsp butter on medium heat. In a bowl whisk together egg, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, and vanilla. Coat each side of bread in wet mixture before placing in hot skillet. Brown on either side and place on a cooking sheet. Once all pieces of bread have been browned on either side. Place cooking sheet in oven for approximately 5-10 minutes until middle of toast is firm and no longer squishy to the touch. Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar and a side of syrup.
