The bean goes back from whence he came…

May 26th, 2007 by the kidlet tamer

ha ha ha. As you all know a couple weeks back I did a belly cast of my 35 week pregnant stomach. Well I decide to take a picture of the bean laying in his former stomach home. I think it looks pretty neat.

Look at those chubby cheeks….He is so Squishy! LOL I just love it. Here is a Photo of Belly Cast hanging on the wall in the nursery.

Update on the jaundice and lactose intolerance. The bean is looking a little less orange/yellow today. The whites of his eyes are still yellow though. He has been on the soy formula since last night and seems to be doing ok, I guess. His stomach still flips when he eats and he usually poops right afterwards. But the poop has turned more solid and not straight liquid like last night so that is a good thing. It is back to the same consistency it was at the hospital. I feel so bad for the squishy. He looks like it hurts him when he poops. Because of the diarrhea he has a little bit of diaper rash and if he continues to poop the way he is doing then I don’t know how I’m going to get it cleared up. Upon talking with hubby about his lactose intolerance problem he told me that when he was a baby he had to have goats milk to eat. But that was 30 something years ago so hopefully the soy today is equivalent to the goats milk back then. We have a doctors appointment Tuesday, we will see what the doctor says. I hope he gets a little better between now and then.

Bean is so adorable! Looked like he was at home again in the cast! Love,Love the second pic of him on here! He is just so cute!
As for his rash I have an idea that I have used on my boys. I know you didn’t ask but wanted to pass it on as it was passed to me:
Take Mylanta and put some on a cotton ball cover his bottom with a layer of Mylanta. Then cover that up with a layer of any diaper rash ointment you have on hand (though destin works the best). Then sprinkle corn starch in the diaper.
I know this sounds weird but it does work!! When I had my oldest boy now 5 yrs old he would rashes that were hard to get rid off and this was something his pedi wanted me to try…it worked! With the next 2 boys every time they got a rash that would not go away with any other thing I would rely on this! Worked everytime like a charm. You don’t have to try this if you don’t want to but thought I would pass it on to you as Bean is having this trouble too! In case you are wondering its the anti acid ingrediants that break down the rash found in Mylanta!
I hope he gets better soon! He is adorable!

I just want to pick up bean and give him a big squishy squeeze. Although he’s a big baby, he still looks so itty bitty. That’s what I love about babies. I hope all goes well at the dr on tuesday.
