The bean loves being worn. A little too much I think. So much so that sometimes he doesn’t want to just chill on the couch but rather be worn or held. Here is are a few photos of the bean and I working together. Well as you can tell I’m doing all the working and the bean, well, he’s just sleeping.

But as I look back on it. The most enjoyable times for me are when I get to wear him. I like that he likes it because in a couple of years he probably won’t want anything to do with me so I should treasure it as much as I can now before he gets any older.

There is this face the bean does…ALL. THE. TIME. It is so funny. I managed to capture it the other day. This is why his main nickname is “Squishy”.
Seriously?!?
The photo just looks like he is saying….”Mom, Seriously? Who are you kidding. You know I am cute, and you know that you will want to wear me in the sling. I demand it and You WILL give in!” Ha! So true.
This pouch sling from Baby Dagny is the bean’s favorite carrier so far. He loves it so much that even when we aren’t wearing him, he practically begs to be wrapped up in the warm fleece. If we put him in the bouncy seat we have to wrap him up in the pouch sling first or five minutes later he will be screaming at us with his arms and legs kicking like crazy. This is the first baby carrier I have ever bought so I am kinda partial to it as well. I love it so much because it is so easy to use.
I can’t believe that the bean is one month old already. It seems just like yesterday I was giving birth to that big noggin of his. We are starting to try to get a routine down but the bean sleeping schedule is still backwards. He wants to sleep during the day and stay up all night. During the day I’m so tired that I don’t even try to fight keeping him up so that he will sleep at night.
Eating….boy this kid can eat. First couple of days he was born he was eating 2 oz. Get him home and he starts eating 4 oz. Now he is eating 6 OZ.!!!! Crazy. Oh and he’ll definitely get mad at ya if you try to short change him on the food. He knows the difference between 5 1/2 oz and 6 oz.
The pnut is adapting to brother well. He loves him now. He will help me feed him. Put diaper rash cream on his little booty. And now he will snuggle up with the bean and read him stories…in his own pnut language of course. It is the cutest thing to see him trying to play with the blob bean. He’ll get his doodle board and pretend to write letters for the bean. It is absolutely adorable. The other day I managed to snag some photos of the pnut giving the bean some kisses while he was napping in his boppy….
Hubby had definitely helped me out a lot since the bean was born, more so than I ever thought he would. He wakes up early to feed the bean and the pnut breakfast so that I can sleep in late since I do all of the night feedings, which is such a help to me. Lately though at nights after feeding the bean he will put the bean in my Baby Dagny pouch sling and work on his computer. There is nothing hotter than a man being proud enough of his son to “wear him”. I never get to use the sling because hubby always has it, which I’m not complaining about. I mean how many men do you know that would rock a multicolored sling like this….
Not many I’m sure.
On a final note, today at tummy time the bean ROLLED OVER! NOT ONCE BUT TWICE!! I was completely shocked seeing how he is just a month old.
So I was looking around the house and I couldn’t find the bean anywhere!!! Can you find him in this photo below?
I’ll give you a hint. He is somewhere warm and snuggly. Give up? Here he is…
He was in Daddy’s shirt the whole entire time. LOL. I guess Daddy wanted to find out what it felt like to be pregnant. I asked him what possessed him to put the Bean in his shirt and he said that the Bean wouldn’t stop wiggling and that he needed to type something on his computer. Ha Ha. He basically just made himself his own “Daddy Sling” and didn’t even know it. Awww, Hubby is a babywearer too!!!
While we were at the doctor’s last Tuesday, I managed to capture a video of the bean trying to build his neck muscles by lifting that big ol’ noggin of his. Since the doctor decided to take so long getting to our room to check the bean out I passed the time away by taking photos and videos on my digital camera. Check him out…
Why, oh why, did your father have to get you so addicted to the sport….BASEBALL! I am about sick of playing baseball. Don’t get me wrong it was extremely cute when we first discovered your love for the sport. It was so cute when you attempted to be the pitcher and the batter at the same time with your leg raised high in the air just like the batter and pitcher does on television just as they throw or hit a pitch. Then we had to teach you that you don’t have to be both players at once that someone can actually throw the ball to you and you can hit it. Why did we teach you that? Now you want us to “play baseball” with you. ALL. DAY. LONG. Every waking second is consumed with baseball.
This is basically what the bean does all day, chills on the couch next to me. If he isn’t “just chillin” then he sleeping. Ah the joys of being a newborn. How great is it to have no concerns or cares in the world. All you are responsible for doing is eating, sleeping, chilling, and pooping. Must be nice.
