So the bean skipped his 1 month doctor visit so I decided to schedule him one sometime last week. The nearest available appointment was for last Tuesday.
Here are his stats…
age…. 2 months 4 weeks
Weight….13 lbs. 13 oz. [can you say, BIG baby!]
height….25 inches long [wow!]
The doctor was so impressed with his weight gain that he is already on cereal! Sheesh, he isn’t even 3 months old and already beginning solids. Typically a child doesn’t start solids until at least 4 months. The doctor put him on them early because he has been killin’ an 8 oz. bottle every 4 hours except for the time he sleeps at night which is from midnight till 8-10 in th morning.
Poor little guy. He had to have 3 shots in his tiny little legs and had to drink some nasty stuff too. He was asleep when she began poking him with the needles. Talk about a rude awakening. He was so mad!!!
He’s been sleeping most of the day. I don’t blame him it was a traumatic experience.
Since the bean is a model baby for Mutha Crafter’s awesome onesies, I had to share this comment that Juliet [the shop owner] emailed to me today that she received from one of her customers…

This is by far THE CUTEST baby I have ever seen. Congratulations.
Thank you, grandpagrandmasattic for that really sweet comment. You totally made my day. Now, I’m off to spend time with the cutest baby ever!
This is truly a miracle to have both kids asleep at the same time. I decided to take a video of it to preserve it forever in history. Who knows when this will ever happen again. After I shot the video I actually got to do something that I wanted to do without having a little kidlet come up to me every 5 minutes wanting something. I got my work written for the day as well as some much needed relaxation time by watching a “grown-up” movie!
Today, I decided to take the pnut with me to the grocery store while the bean stayed home and slept with Daddy. While we were at the grocery store doing our typical grocery shopping, I remembered that I need to get a box of nerds from the candy aisle. We use nerds in our potty training routine. The nerds trick has worked really well. Pnut has been 100% potty trained since his 2nd birthday. Not even any accidents at night!
I grabbed the box and put it in the buggy. Pnut turned to me with the most serious look on his face and said….
“OH…OK…Hold on, One second….I go pee!”
You see, he wanted to eat the nerds and knows that in order to get nerds he has to go to the bathroom and do his duty. I told him he had to wait until we got home and that he could have some nerds then. He was very content with that answer, which surprised me since now-a-days the tiniest no can send the pnut into a 2 yr old raging fit. But not today. He was very good today and got a nice treat when we got home.
The pnut is so funny. A couple days last week we would watch a movie during the afternoon to pass the time away. But we haven’t watched a movie since. The other day pnut comes up to me and says “Mama….movie….OK?…OK!” then runs to the videos and proceeds to pick out what he wants to watch. I say to him, “Ok, pnut you can watch a movie”. Glee beams from pnuts face as he proceeds to go get the sumo lounge from the corner of the room and place it on the floor. We watch movies in front of the television, all piled onto the sumo lounge. It is lots of fun and oh so comfortable.
I start the movie for him and proceed to finish washing the dishes. Pnut runs into the kitchen and screams…
“WHERE’S MY POPCORN!!! POPCORN…MAMA!!! PAWEEEEEEEEEZ!”
I ask him if he wants popcorn. And screams “YES MA’AM!” Who can resist such manners?
I think it is funny that he now associates popcorn with movie time even though we only had movie days a couple times.
