I can’t believe pnut’s birthday has come and gone and that he is already three years old. My little boy isn’t so little any more. He had a blast at his birthday party because he actually knew what was going on. He kept saying to me throughout the day “Happy Burday, Mama, Happy Burday!” to which I would reply “Yes, pnut, Happy Birthday you are three years old today!”. He loved every minute of it. He especially loved that his two step brothers got to come to his party.
Here is the video that I shot tonight at supper time when I decided to see if bean was ready for baby food yet. We tried this a month ago and he wasn’t quite ready. I bought a couple of jars of food at the grocery store this week just to see if he was up to the challenge. We are starting on bananas. He loved them. He was attacking the spoon with each bite. He was even trying to help my hand by grabbing at the spoon and shoving it towards his face. HA HA.
This is truly a miracle to have both kids asleep at the same time. I decided to take a video of it to preserve it forever in history. Who knows when this will ever happen again. After I shot the video I actually got to do something that I wanted to do without having a little kidlet come up to me every 5 minutes wanting something. I got my work written for the day as well as some much needed relaxation time by watching a “grown-up” movie!
I made my own “wrap” out of some t-shirt fabric that I picked up at the craft store. Out of all the carriers that I have, the one that I made myself is the one that the bean likes the best. I managed to snag some photos of him looking around, laughing, cooing, and smiling at me all while being worn. We were in the kitchen when I took the photos, I was attempting to clean up but couldn’t help but be distracted by this…
How adorable is he? Don’t you just want to kiss those cheeks…hee hee. I also was able to get a video of him in the wrap. This is what I see when I am wearing him…
As you can tell, he really likes the homemade “wrap”. He likes being upright versus laying down because he is able to see everything. Since he can’t quite hold his head up on his own, he still has to have his neck supported, I am unable to use a sling to have him upright unless I’m holding his head, with the wrap I don’t have this problem because I can arrange it so it supports his head for me.
While we were at the doctor’s last Tuesday, I managed to capture a video of the bean trying to build his neck muscles by lifting that big ol’ noggin of his. Since the doctor decided to take so long getting to our room to check the bean out I passed the time away by taking photos and videos on my digital camera. Check him out…
