Keanu is on this wanting to eat like a big kid kick. He doesn’t want me to cut his food into little bite sized “baby” food anymore, he wants everything in sticks or whole so that he can bite it off just like a big boy. Hubby even gave him a whole plum and he ate the whole thing just like an apple. It was so cute. He holds the fruit just like a monkey would do if he were given a fruit to eat.
Sometimes pnut gets into things he necessarily shouldn’t be in to. Like potatoes for example. If I tell him to put back whatever he has taken out without my permission he will put it back just the way he got it. Such a smart kid and it saves on my picking up after him time. I’ve even gotten him to start helping me with the chores. I made him a little chore chart so that he can get little stars for helping me around the house. Whenever he fills up particular section with stars he will get a prize. Whenever I go to the dollar store I pick up a few little toys and put them in a bucket labled the “Surpise Box”. When he gets a prize on his chores he will be able to go to the bucket and pick one of the toys out that he’s earned. Right now since he is so younge he only has two chores…Pick up his toys & help mummy make the bed [he is in charge of pillows], vaccuum [he goes behind me with his little push toy and pretends that he is vaccuuming] and any thing else that he can help me do like put away the groceries. He loves getting those little stars, he claps and smiles so big when he gets one on his chart. I’m going to make another chart for potty training. My mother made one for me when I was potty training and she still has it somewhere. It will be a great little memory to have in his memory box when he gets older.
Animal Noises….P-nut has been mimicing cats & dogs all week long. It is so cute to see him go up to a cat or a dog and start meowing or barking at them like he can speak their language. He got a cute little book with lots of animals in it from Granny. I swear I’ve read it will him umteenmillion times by now. He loves it sooo much! I was researching what he is supposed to be doing developmentally and it said that the animal noise thing is a 19 month developement. P-nut has always been like 2 & 3 months ahead of the developmental charts. We must have a pretty smart kid.
Hello, my name is P-nut. I'm the first born and my momma's heart. I'm a very well-behaved toddler. I've been sleeping in my big boy bed since August of 2006 and I've gave up my pacey sometime in September of the same year. I'm growing up, Mama! I love playing with my dog, "DoJo" and learning my letters. I could watch Elmo and Sesame Street all day long if Mommy would let me.
