P-nuts learned how to catch a ball.  I tried getting video of it but then he gets shy everytime I pull out the camera.  Today when we were playing with a beach ball he would not catch it on purpose so that it would bounce off of his face.  Everytime it bounced off his face he would just laugh and laugh.  And as usual when I tried to get video of the laughter he stops.

P-nut sure is starting to talk up a storm now. He’s trying his best to pick up words or try to repeat what you say. This weeks new words/sentences are…

“More Milk” or “My Milk”

“More Elmo” or “My Melmo”

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! [he says this when he swings something around in the air, i guess he’s speaking for the object]

“1, 2, 3″ [sometimes he counts them by himself, other times he repeats them after I say them to him]

“numbers” [asked him today if he wanted to sing his numbers and he repeated numbers]

“DONE!” [he says this after he is finished eating with the sign language as well]

The last 3 nights I’ve had a problem with p-nut sleeping.  P-nut has slept through the night since he was 3 mos old.  Why now all of a sudden he wants to wake up in the middle of the night?  The first couple of nights he’d wake up and I’d put him in my bed but come the third night I just couldn’t keep doing it.  I didn’t want to keep doing it because I knew eventually it would become habit.  Secondly, I didn’t want to keep doing it because I was tired of him kicking me in the head in the middle of the night [he’s a wild sleeper].  So on the third night instead of putting him in bed with me I just gave him one of our pillows and he was as happy as a clam.  He fell right back to sleep without even a fuss.  I think what he liked about our bed was the pillows.  I’d noticed that he had started to sleep on his stuffed animals alot.  He wants something under his head like the “big people”.  Well lets face it, sleeping without a pillow isn’t all that comfy [well to me at least].

P-nut has a new facination with my shoes. He had a fascination with my shoes when he was younger now the phase has come back and better than ever. He wants to wear mommy’s shoes. He’ll try his best to walk in them, I can’t help but laugh. He looks so cute. I tried my best to get some video of him with my camera phone. Here take a look…

P-nut has turned into a little songbird. As of this morning he just goes around the house singing out these looooong notes. He was watching some show on PBS this morning that had a sloth and an anteater in it and everytime they would break out into song, so would he! Marching, singing, maybe even some dancing. He is a wonderful entertainer…hee hee.

What an active month we’ve had. Sorry for not updating like I should, we’ve just been sooo busy. P-nut is growing up so fast and doing so many new things. Talking for one. He’s really starting to pick up on the words now. He understands just about everything we say to him. He’ll put stuff in the trash if we ask, he’ll even turn on/off the lights if we tell him to. He’s even starting to put a couple words together to make small sentences. I’m going to try my best to make up a list of all of what he is saying, so here goes…

shut up [back and better than ever, for a while he stopped saying it]

dye [for bye, when he talks on the phone]

blows kisses for when u tell him i love you

yeah [he says yeah and nods his head at the same time]

Those are all the words that come to mind at the moment. If I think of any more I’ll add them to the list.

If you don’t know by now, we are moving…out of state! Fifteen hours to be exact. I’m anxious to start potty training p-nut but I want to wait till the big move for fear that once we do move and get into our new environment that he won’t want to go potty. So he’s got a month of being a “baby” before he starts his transition to “big boy”.

P-nut is loving summer! He loves playing outside in the hot 100 degree weather, me not so much. He loves the waterhose even more. I have a mist setting on my garden hose and he absolutely loves it. We also have a slide and swing for him to play so I don’t have to go to the park everyday. And don’t even get me started on the sandbox. He adores the sandbox, he loves to try to cover up his feet in the sand.

Just recently he has learned to take off his pamper when I tell him to. He will go and put it in the trash when he takes it off so that I can put a fresh one on.

My little helper. P-nut tries so hard to be a big boy. He wants to help mommy do everything. Now when I put up the dishes he is in charge of the silverware [minus the knives of course]. He knows to put them in the correct drawer. Sometimes he even wants to put the dirty silverware in the drawer too…hee hee. He loves helping me bake things, and helping feed the puppy-dog. Oh thats right, we have a new puppy dog now. His name is KoJo and p-nut loves playing with him. All day long they play chase. P-nut carries whatever toy he can find of KoJo’s all through the house and KoJo runs after him barking and trying to get it.

Saturday, we went to the fireworks show at a local town. P-nut started getting restless towards the end of the night before the fireworks. But as soon as the fireworks went off he just loved it. He oooo’ed the whole entire time, he thought they were so neat to watch. I remember when I was pregnant and we went to see the fireworks, he would jump in my tummy everytime there was a bang. And last year he was terrified of them. Funny how they change.

Coloring…p-nut is fascinated with crayons, not to really color but just to run around the house with them. He isn’t really into the whole idea of sitting down and scribbling. He wants to be mobile. Artist on the move if you will.
