As of late, p-nut has become such a BIG helper in the kitchen.  I think he likes our new kitchen as much as I do.  He has figured out how to move one of the kitchen chairs all over the kitchen to different counters that I might be at so he can lend a helping hand.  Yesterday we made a cake and some shortbread cookies.  We were going to give them to daddy to take to work but in the middle of each recipe p-nut decided to do a little taste testing.  I don’t think toddler slobber would go over well at work…hee hee.

I rumbles from a bean bag chair in my son’s room. I go to see what he is doing, so quietly. Ah HA! The graffiti artist is at it again. “Mommy I want a tattoo!”

Thank goodness I caught him before he drew on something more than his leg.

Well we’ve successfully done it. We’ve moved p-nut from his baby crib to his new big boy bed. Before we moved, Granny bought p-nut a big boy bed from Wal-mart. It is really cute. It has a bookcase for the headboard and 3 drawers on the bottom for storing clothes or toys. We use the drawers for his clothes. Last weekend, we decided to put it together and see if he would take to it. P-nut helped daddy screw in the screws, while me and Kojo read the instructions. It was so cute to see p-nut helping daddy. My original plan was to fit the crib and the big boy bed in the room together but they were both too big so one had to go. We disassembled the crib and put it in the garage. The first night was a breeze. He went right to sleep. Didn’t get up or anything. The following day during nap time he did the same thing and has stayed in bed all week. Such a good kid. He loves his new bed. I took some pictures to show you guys. They are pictures of him sleeping the first night in his big boy bed and pictures of the rest of his room. We will be doing a sports theme in his room. My mother is ordering the comforter so right now he is sleeping on Nemo sheets. She is also painting him some sports related pictures to hang on the wall. Notice the fish lamp. He has to have this on every night. He loves those fishes. One day we’ll get him some real ones, but for right now they are the kind that you can turn on and off.

P-nut is loving his new “big boy” room in our new house. So much so that while he was supposed to be taking his nap he decided to do a little artwork ON THE WALLS! He somehow found a marker somewhere and went to town drawing on the walls, his toys, his bookshelf, the window, his bedspread, even his LEGS! I took pictures of the evidence and here they are…
