Mashed Potatoes

  • 5-6 russet potatoesMashed Potatoes
  • 1 stick of butter
  • water

Directions:

Peel and cut potatoes into cubes. Boil in slightly salted water for approximately 10-15 mins. (until potatoe cube is tender and easily cut with fork). Drain.

Return to pot, add stick of butter, with hand mixer, mix together.

Wah-lah! Easy as that.

    I know. In the time it would take you to make the instant potatoes you can make the real thing. You can add a little bit of milk [like a tbsp or so] to the potatoes when you add the butter to make it creamier if you would like. I don’t add the milk for two reasons, 1. hubby is lactose intollerant, 2. it adds more calories and I’m trying to avoid unnecessary calories.
