Ingredients:
Caramel Frosting:
Garnish:

Preheat oven to 350*F. Grease 2-9 inch round cake pans. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, vanilla extract, buttermilk, and water with an electric mixer until smooth and well blended. Fold in chopped pecans. Bake in oven approximately 30 minutes or until done and toothpick when inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 1 hour.
While cake is cooling, prepare the caramel frosting. In a medium sauce pan whisk butter, brown sugar, whipping cream and vanilla extract until smooth. Cook for 2 minutes or until sugar has dissolved completely. Remove from heat and with a electric mixer beat powdered sugar into the mix until blended.
After the cakes have cooled, place one layer on a cake plate and frost the top. Place second layer on the frosted bottom layer. Ice whole cake. I found it best to just pour all of the frosting on the middle of the top layer and just smooth out over the rest of the cake. When completely iced, place whole pecans all around the sides of the cake. On the top sprinkle with chopped pecans.

[…] The answer is probably yes. Well the majority anyway as I experienced it first hand today. Let me explain myself a little. First off, I usually try to designate a beauty day for myself where I will do a face mask, give myself a pedicure, and color my hair if it is that time of the month. Well this afternoon about 3ish, hubby calls up and tells me that he has gotten off of work early because he had met his 40 hrs for the week. I had just finished applying a face mask and wasn’t about to wash it off as it would have defeated the purpose so I scoop up the p-nut and head out to get the hubby. I had people giving me double looks, slamming on breaks, and just right out staring when I was stopped at a light. Now I know it isn’t everday that you see a woman with a face mask driving a car so I completely understand the looks and stares. I had alot of great laughs as I saw peoples reactions to the way that I looked. This isn’t the first time that I have had to rush out of the house and pick the hubby up at work with a face mask on. I always seem to have the perfect timing but those times in the past have always been at night and not that many people could see me because it was so dark. It is alot different in the day time when people can actually see you….On another note, tomorrow we are having a family get together and I found out about it at last minute.
