Emergency
Some of ya’ll may be wondering where I’ve been. Well it is a long story and I’ll be sure to type it out when I get back home and settled. So here is the short of it. Last thursday if you had read over at my pregnancy blog, I was complaining of gas pains. Well the gas pains never subsided so I decided to go to the ER at 2 something in the morning. I end up having an emergency appendectomy!!! This is where it gets much worse. When I awake from my surgery, I was informed by hubby that his father had two heart attacks and that his step-mother had taken him off of life support. He passed away shortly friday morning. Because I had just had surgery and am 20 weeks pregnant they wanted me to stay in the hospital till Saturday. I did and on sunday we drove 15 hrs back to Georgia for the funeral and to see all of our family and friends.
It is a sad time and recovery still hurts pretty badly. I’m sorry for my sudden absence and the lack of update but no internet access was available as of late. I hope everyone is good and well. I hope to be back in commission sometime next week. I think we are supposed to make the drive back next Saturday or so. My father just told me that on the drive back we are supposed to be getting snow, ice, and rain in my area so the drive is going to be tricky.
Just pray for us!

Oh my goodness - what a difficult week you’ve had. I’m glad that they were able to diagnosis the appendix quickly and get it removed in time. My husband and I both had a ruptured appendix when we were younger and wound up spending almost a month in the hospital. Definitely NOT something that you ought to be going through when you are 20 weeks pregnant!
I’m sorry for the loss of your FIL. I hope that the driving conditions are good & you have safe travels home.

I was wondering if you were o.k. since you had not updated in a while. I’m sorry to hear about your father in law. and your appendix, omg! I know that was ruff. My hubby had his almost rupture about 2 years ago he was in a lot of pain so I can sympathise with your pain. Anyway girl, take care of you for a while. Someone once told me that there are three parts to life: Going into a storm(1) Being in the storm(2) and Coming out of it(3). Here’s hoping that you are comming out of yours.
