How to make Homemade Hard Peppermint Candy to giveaway as Christmas Gifts
Today, I will be spending a lot of time in the kitchen. Every year, I try to giveaway a gift to family and friends that I have personally made. This year I am making Homemade Hard Peppermint Candy. I will put the candy in Christmas Jars that I found at the Dollar Store and give them as gifts on Christmas Eve.

For those of you that want my treasured homemade hard peppermint candy recipe you can find it at my recipe site, Recipe Rush. This recipe is so easy to make, I don’t see why you would ever buy candy from a store again. You don’t have to just make peppermint, you can buy different flavored oils to make all different kinds of candy like butterscotch, lemon, or even grape. Whatever you have a taste for really can be made into a hard candy.
If you try out the recipe or have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. I’ll try to help any way I can. I love hearing from others how the recipe worked for them, so don’t forget to comment.
Happy Holidays! Let the candy making begin!!

Yep that candy is yummy. And here’s a little Paula to brighten up your day……
Oh! Oh! I do the same thing with those exact same jars from the Dollar Tree, except I fill them up with an assortment of chocolates from the bulk section of the grocery store-chocolate bells, peanut butter cups, chocolate covered mint patties, etc. People go crazy for them, and each one costs me around $3.00!
I love peppermint candies. I actually tried to make them once, but it turned out worse than my christmas gingerbread house :)
Thanks for the recipe.
You are welcome, Sharon. Good luck! Hope it turns out for you.
Elizabeth….that is a really great idea!

DIY Projects
When I decided that I wanted to homeschool the kidlets, I knew that I needed to create a space in which to do it in. Sure, we could have easily taken up space in the kitchen, but instead I wanted to create a space designated specifically for homeschooling. A place that we could retreat to, a space all about learning. (if that makes any sense at all)
Hubby used to occupy the space in the basement that we so aptly called “the Man Cave”. Overtime the Man …
