The day that I have been anticipating for the past month is finally here. I am on my way to the airport to board my first flight ever! Well I flew in an airplane for about 30 minutes when I was a wee little tot but that doesn’t count, to me at least. I am so nervous. I am totally faaaah-reaking OUT!!!
I can’t believe this is happening. It all seems like a dream. I know I probably sound like the biggest dork known to man and completely immature for my age but stuff like this doesn’t happen to people like me. It just doesn’t. This IS the biggest trip of my life and I will be enjoying (and photographing) every minute of it!!!
Hubby will be taking care of the kidlets while I am away. The boys are a handful but I am more than confident that he can handle them, although he will probably be begging me to come back tomorrow. LOL. Men are so funny when it comes to taking care of the kids. If you think I am freaking out, you should see my husband he is worse off than me.
Well it is almost time to head to the airport. Going to check through my luggage one last time to make sure I haven’t forgotten anything and then I’m off! I’ll give you all updates tonight.

It sounds like you’re going to have so much fun!! I just went on my first trip alone down to Panama, but I was meeting up with my co-workers down there, but it is a big deal when you’re boarding a plane by yourself! I hope everything goes perfectly for you!

If you’re going where I suspect you’re going - there’s a lot of mommy bloggers suddenly heading west - you will have a great time. Enjoy the sunshine and all of the sights to be seen.
My first “all by myself” flight was from Florida to California (San Diego). I was so nervous!! But it was the best trip ever. Very empowering to be all alone like that.
