#1 Money Saving Tip: Monthly Menu Planning
This month I am starting a new feature on this blog and it is sharing with you my monthly menu plan. One thing that we do in our household to save money is 1. plan a menu for the entire month and 2. we only go grocery shopping once a month based on the menu that I have created. This eliminates the nagging “what’s for dinner, mom?” questions and takes one more stress out of my life.
So from now on you will be able to check out our …

…each and every single month in the sidebar (to your right) to see what’s cooking at our table each night of the week. In the details of each nights dinner you will see what cookbook the recipes come from if I am using a cookbook that night or if it is something I’ve created myself you can find those recipes here at this website. You can print out our family menu if you want to follow along with us if you so choose to do that as well.
I hope you enjoy the menu and I also hope it motivates you to create your own menu at home whether it be for a week or a whole month like we do. You can also subscribe to my monthly menu if you want to have each days menu automatically updated in your favorite feed reader.

I menu plan weekly, wish I could get into doing it monthly. My question is do you actually have the meals on the days you assigned them or do you ever wish you could swap them around and do you? My husband has a “hankering” for stuff sometimes and just wants what he wants. Ya know what I mean?
Great site! and the plus-thanks for the great meal ideas
This is great. I am trying to move toward bi-weekly planning. I am not sure if I could do monthly. And my question is this is dinner but what about breakfast and lunch – how do you shop for those meals?
Right now, I do my planning on a weekly basis since it’s just the two of us (the babe is still BF) and we live in a tiny apartment. When we move to a real house, I’d like to have a deep freezer because how many times have I wished I could stock up on meat when it’s on sale?!
Great tutorial.

This week in Momertainment:
Weather in my town has been crazy. For the longest time it seemed all the weather knew what to do was rain. All. The. Time. Then all of a sudden winter decided to show her head making it crazy cold here in the south.
With all of the crazy weather happenings lately, its only fitting that I recently received an advance copy of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (Single-Disc Edition) to review. I remember seeing the previews for this movie when it first hit the theaters …

In My Beauty Bag:
I was recently approached by a representative for Sheer Cover who wanted me to write a story about my experience with the brand on my blog. With the kit that they sent me, I got to work testing it out. I don’t mind being a guinea pig when it comes to makeup ^_^. Several weeks later, I’m ready to share my experience.
At first I must admit that Sheer Cover was a bit strange or foreign to me. I am not at all a new user of …
