Everyone is on a budget these days that is what makes having a dinner party at home a much more affordable and easy way to spend time with friends. Take for instance this week’s Meal Solution from Walmart. One can easily entertain on a budget with these meal suggestions.

This week’s meal solution from Walmart:

  • Macaroni Grill Creamy Basil Pasta Kit
  • Great Value Diced Tomatoes
  • Reese Artichoke Hearts
  • Sara Lee Garlic Bread
  • Pillsbury Fudgy Brownie Mix

Garlic Bread

Going to a fancy italian restaurant can be expensive. But did you know that Macaroni Grill has pasta kits available in the grocery aisle at your local Walmart? Two of these Macaroni Grill Creamy Basil Pasta Kits paired with 1 lb. of chicken and a crown of broccoli would make a quick and easy meal for your next dinner party or a quick last minute meal for unexpected guests that might stop by.

Macaroni Grill

In our house we are big on pasta. We just can’t get enough of the stuff so I was excited to see that this week’s meal solution was a new pasta for our family to try. Instead of using the suggested artichoke hearts and diced tomatoes we opted for a crown of broccoli (cooked with the pasta when following the directions on the back of the box) in our Creamy Basil pasta instead.

Dinner was delish, and easy to make! We ended our meal with a good ol’ fudgy brownie.

How would you use this week’s suggested meal solution ingredients?

What is your go-to meal for a dinner party?

Darn, the singer in Justin's band is sick, and there's no practice tonight, which means this probably won't be what we have for dinner tonight. :-/ I am still excited to see it. I love white sauce pastas :)

Adding the broccoli to the kits made it really delicious in my opinion. I also saw some Macaroni Grill frozen kits in the freezer section, those looked really good too.
