Scrubbed: the Tale of a Destroyed Manicure (Ombre Nails)
I glanced at the calendar today. I probably shouldn’t have. I was shocked at what I saw.
Did you know that Thanksgiving is only 14 days away? Like, seriously.
Remember when I shared cleaning tips to get the house in tip-top shape for guests? With the number 14 haunting me, today I started in the kitchen. I’m determined to get it “sparkling”. Since this is the central part of our home. The place everyone gathers. The place where most of the action will be happening during the holidays. I started from the ground and am working my way up. Today was floors, cabinets, walls, and appliances. I scrubbed, and I scrubbed, and I scrubbed. Until I just could not think of scrubbing anymore.
All of that cleaning did 2 things:
1. finally some “sparkling” floors, cabinets, and appliances in this place
2. completely ruined my manicure
While the cleaning NEEDS to be done, I’m not too happy with a ruined manicure. But it did give me a good excuse to curl up on the couch with my DIY At-Home Manicure Kit and catch up on some of my favorite television shows.
