Nails of the Week: A Spark of Purple
Last week we were wearing a festive Fourth of July nail look and this week we are going the complete opposite with purple. I had a specific nail look in mind when I went to my local Walmart this week to look for some new nail colors but sadly it seemed they were a bit picked over from the weekend so the color I was looking for was out of stock. I did however stumble upon a beautiful sparkled polish that I knew would go perfect with a nail color I already had in my stash. Here is how I achieved the nail look in the below photo:
First I applied two coats of NYC 133 Purple Pizzazz Frost. On top of that I applied my favorite top coat, Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat. Lastly I applied NYC Matte mattifying top coat over all of my nails except for my accent nail. I love the matte top coat, it seems to help my polish not chip for just a day or two longer. For my accent nail I applied one coat of NYC 133 Purple Pizzazz Frost then applied several coats of the new polish, Pure Ice- Cheatin, on top for a bit of sparkle. Finishing my accent nail with a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat.
Nail polish used for this week’s Purple Nail Look:
Pure Ice- Cheatin ($1.97 @Walmart)
NYC 133 Purple Pizzazz Frost
Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat
NYC Matte mattifying top coat
What color are you wearing on your nails this week?
