Make Traveling Easier with a DIY Customizable Makeup Palette by Unii

I don’t like to travel. It isn’t that I don’t like exploring a new place once I get there, it is the GETTING there part that I despise so much. Packing is by far my least favorite aspect of traveling. With so many restrictions when it comes to flying, its just such a pain mainly because I’m a product girl. When I travel I feel like I need to bring with me all of my favorite makeup must-haves when in reality I could probably get by with only a few.

However, I am on a quest to learn how to travel lightly with only bringing the essentials. When I first heard of the Unii Palette I knew this would be a great way to get me on the right track to traveling with as few products as possible. A Unii Palette is a completely customizable makeup palette that one can create using their favorite products. A small, well-made, magnetic palette allows you to “depot” your favorite makeup from its original package and arrange them into one, convenient, easy to carry case.

As you can see in the photo above, I was able to fit 1 foundation powder, 1 blush, 1 contour shade, and 8 of my favorite eyeshadows into one convenient case that I can easily fit into my carry-on bag. The side of the Unii palette has a hinged closure that securely snaps shut so I don’t have to worry about anything spilling out when I’m traveling about. The bottom of the Unii Palette is magnetized so your depotted makeup can stick and stay in place. The majority of the products that I depotted stuck nicely to the Unii Palette by themselves but if for some reason a depotted product doesn’t stick, Unii provides magnets that can be stuck to the bottom of the product in order for it to stick inside of the palette.

So far, I’m loving the Unii Palette. My favorite feature is how easily I can change and customize it just by swapping out the products I choose for it to hold inside. I’m definitely anxious to use this on my next trip!

How do you travel with your makeup? Do you have any tips for traveling lightly?

Disclosure: I was given a sample of the Unii Palette to try out for myself. Although product was received, opinions are my own. My experience may differ from your own.

I had the unii palette and loved it, until I dropped it and it broke and broke ll of the shadows that were in it. Also it was on the small side too. Have you tried the zpalette yet? They are bigger and do not break as easily. You might should check them out. I am in love with my pink and red ones.

I had been wanting to get a pattlee for some time, I do makeup for people every once in a while and I wanted something that was small and compact but still offered a good variety of colors. I just got the 120 color 2nd edition a few days ago had have been toying around with it. First of all it was shipped very well and nothing at all was broken inside, I was shocked. It looks good and the design is functional. There are some good colors and the shimmers work well but first and for most you HAVE to use a eyeshadow primer with it! If you don’t the colors look cheap and lifeless. So far I haven’t gotten any of the mattes to blend at all. But the metallic and shimmer colors have been working very well. So if you can live without the mattes I would say just get BH cosmetics 88 shimmer pattlee because the mattes definitely a fail.
