When I have the time I love to give myself a fresh manicure or pedicure. Having my nails done is something I enjoy and I’m always on the lookout for new polishes to try. Walmart recently shared with me some new polishes from Nicole by OPI that they carry in their stores.
I was sent several samples to try out for myself. Upon arrival, I could hardly wait to try them for myself. My inner diva was immediately drawn to the beautiful glitters from the Selena Gomez collection and the bold colors from the Modern Family collection. When testing, I was surprised that the colors came out just as vividly as they appeared in the bottle. When applying nail polish to my nails, I always apply at least two coats just to ensure a nice even color.
I combined the samples they sent into two different nail looks to share with ya’ll today. Both looks were really simple to do and took me about as much time as watching an episode of my favorite TV show.
Look #1 is a nail look that I can be seen rockin’ often. I love to do one accent nail in glitter, usually my ring finger, with the rest of nails in a solid color. I thought that the Back in My Gloria Days (Nicole by OPI Modern Family Nail Lacquer) and Inner Sparkle (Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez Nail Lacquer) complimented each other beautifully.
To achieve this look, I first painted all of my nails with one coat of Back in my Gloria Days. After that coat dried I then applied a second coat to all of my nails except for my accent nail. I applied the Inner Sparkle on my accent nail until the right amount of sparkle was achieve. Once all of my nails were dried I then sealed my freshly painted manicure with one of my favorite clear top coats.
Look #2 is another look that I like to wear but this is something that I would wear more around the holidays or for a special occasion as it has a bit more sparkle and drama to it. I like the blue green color of Candid Cameron (Nicole by OPI Modern Family Nail Lacquer) while the glitter in Confetti Fun (Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez Nail Lacquer) reminds me of the sparkle of the holidays. In this look I applied 2 coats of Candid Cameron making sure that each coat was dried thoroughly. Then I swept just a touch of sparkle onto the tips of my nails with the Confetti Fun. Again, I sealed the entire nail look with my favorite clear top coat.
Overall, I think that the new collections from Nicole by OPI are a lot of fun. Changing your nail color is a fun way to accessorize any outfit. I also liked that Nicole by OPI nail lacquer dried fairly quickly so it’s easy to change the look of your manicure or apply several coats without it taking a lot of drying time.
Walmart offers a variety of different shades in their stores and online of Nicole by OPI for $7.00 each. Also, be on the lookout for their newest collections from Selena Gomez and Modern Family to be available as well.
