Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, isn’t it? Are you looking for something different and unique to give as a gift? Homemade gifts are often the best gifts, aren’t they? Today I’m going to be sharing with you all some fun, easy, and delicious recipes and gift ideas for Valentine’s Day that don’t take a lot of time to put together but will definitely make that special someone feel all the love.
The friendly folks at Chex recently sent me a blogger kit in order to try out some of their Chex Party Mix recipes perfect for Valentine’s Day. Typically one might think that Chex Party Mix is a recipe best made during the holidays but Chex Party Mix can be made to make any holiday a little extra special. I personally love the idea of giving something homemade as a gift. I also love that Chex Party Mix has recipes to fit just about any occasion.
Valentine’s Day is all about the “sweet”. Chex has two sweet Chex Party Mix recipes that won’t disappoint your sweet tooth! So today I’ll be sharing both recipes, where to get them, my thoughts on each, as well as some easy gifting ideas.
First up, we have Red Velvet Chex Party Mix. Red Velvet Chex Party Mix tastes just like what you hope it would. Chocolatety goodness in every crunch with a slight reminder of the classic Valentine’s Day Red Velvet Cake. This recipe is a bit different from other Chex Party Mix recipes that I have tried out in the past as it requires a portion of a boxed cake mix but I also think that this is what makes this Chex Party Mix so different and delicious. When taste testing with my family, this recipe won over my husband’s heart at first crunch. He loved it and declared it was his favorite!
My favorite Chex Party Mix is Valentine’s Chex Mix. The color and festive heart shaped sprinkles are perfect for a Valentine’s Day gift. This peanut buttery Chex Mix is complimented well by the candy-coated chocolate mix-ins. The Valentine’s Chex Mix looks pretty all by itself in a clear glass jar for easy gifting.
Gifting Chex Party Mix for Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be difficult. Fill a Valentine’s themed coffee mug or wide mouth mason jars with your favorite Chex Party Mix recipe. I love these big glass jars from Walmart (about $5) as they make perfect snack containers. Mine is usually filled with Chex Party Mix recipe as it makes for a great movie-time snack. Do your kids need to give a gift during a Valentine’s Day party? Fill holiday themed treat bags with your kids favorite Chex Party Mix recipe so they can hand it out to their friends as a sweet Valentine’s day treat.
What is your favorite homemade treat to give as a gift?
Disclosure: I was gifted with a Chex Party Mix blogger kit that included everything I needed in order to make, try, and share the Chex Party Mix Recipes mentioned in this post. As always, opinions are my own.
