Klondike bars were one of my grandmother’s favorite treats. She would always have these delicious treats stocked in her fridge when we would visit. Surprisingly, she would always share them with us kids when we asked. So when Klondike recently contacted me to see if I was interested in trying out some of their newest flavors, I jumped at the chance to relive my childhood for just a moment.

Mint Chocolate Chip Klondike Bar

It’s amazing how something as simple as a bite into a familiar ice cream treat can bring all sorts of memories back to the mind. While my grandmother loved the classic Klondike bar, I decided to pick up one of my favorite ice cream flavors, mint chocolate chip. In a classic Klondike bar shape, this ice cream delight is unlike the original in its minty green center. It was the perfect blend of chocolate and cool peppermint flavor. I think I’m going to try making a Mint Chocolate Chip Klondy Shake with a few of the bars. I had no idea that there were so many different variety of Klondike bars available. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for the Oreo and Caramel Pretzel to try out next.

Speaking of Oreo, have you tried out the Klondike Oreo Sandwiches. Oh my goodness! These have been my personal fav for years! They are so delicious. If you are a huge fan of Oreo cookies, like I am, these frozen treats are a must-try in my book. The only problem I have with them is that there is only 4 in a box. I wish they came in larger boxes because these get devoured in our house in no time flat.

Klondike Kandy Bars

Another Klondike product that I had the opportunity to try out were the Kandy Bars. These are completely new and not shaped like a typical Klondike bar. They are shaped more like a candy bar and come in a variety of flavors like Cookies & Cream, Caramel & Peanuts, and the flavor I tried, Fudge Krunch. Unfortunately, my local stores didn’t have the Cookies & Cream flavor in stock (yet!) which would have been my first pick. However, the Fudge Krunch was filled with chocolatey deliciousness which definitely reminded me of one of my favorite crunchy candy bars. If ever you are a major chocolate craving, these treats would definitely hit the spot.

What summer treat brings back memories from your childhood?

Disclosure: I was gifted with free product coupons to try out a couple Klondike products for myself. As always, opinions are my own.

Those sound so good! I’ll definitely have to try them! The summer treat that brings back memories from my childhood is Pepsi. I remember stopping at the gas station and buying a Pepsi with my grandpa. That’s when Pepsi came in a glass bottle.
