Easter is right around the corner which means it is time to start thinking about putting together an Easter Basket for the kids. Every year Walmart is my one stop shop for all the goodies I need to fill my kids Easter Baskets with inexpensive treats and small little gifts. Do you think you can fill an Easter Basket for less than $10? Today, as a part of the Walmart Moms, I’ll be sharing some of the affordable filler ideas for kid’s Easter Baskets from Walmart that can be mixed and matched to create your own one of a kind basket.
While Walmart does carry a wide variety of already pre-assembled Easter Baskets in their stores that are perfect for a last minute idea if you are short on time, I personally like to assemble my own Easter Basket to give to the kids. However, our Easter Baskets aren’t filled with lots of candy instead I like to find small, unique toys that they can play with for a little while or tools that they can use like pencils that will remind them of the fun they had on Easter with their family. But, of course, no Easter Basket is fully complete without a few sweet treats to enjoy.

Inexpensive Easter Basket Filler Ideas from Walmart
Do you save your Easter Basket to use next year? We definitely do, that is unless the boys want to use it throughout the year for storage. We try to save our Easter Basket from year to year but sometimes we just need a new one. I like that Walmart carries a variety of Easter Baskets from traditional to themed plastic buckets for just $.98 that won’t break our budget.
Indoor Easter Basket Hunt
Every year it is a tradition with my family for the “Easter Bunny” to hide the kid’s Easter Baskets somewhere in the house while the children are sleeping. When they wake up on Easter morning it is a mad dash around the house for the boys to try and find their baskets. If they happen to find another person’s basket they have to keep quiet about it so they don’t ruin the surprise for the other person. My boys love this tradition and I must say that “Easter Bunny” has hidden their Easter Baskets in some very interesting places.
Of course, this is just a small sampling of some of the products Walmart carries in their stores right now to stuff an Easter Basket with. Check out your local store to see what products they have available to create your own unique basket.
